The Kentucky SHRM State Council is about to embark on a monumental project that has the potential to have dramatic impact across the Commonwealth. Our endeavors have the support of the Kentucky Center for Education and Workforce Statistics (KCEWS) and the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS), as well as other government agencies that are interested in finding out the workforce needs of business and industry in Kentucky. The initiative is called “Bridging the Talent Gap - Kentucky.”

The SHRM Board of Directors has approved a $9 dues increase for SHRM professional memberships. Beginning January 1, 2017, professional membership dues will be $199 per year.
The 2016 KYSHRM Leadership Conference in quickly approaching! Once again, it will be held at the Marriott RiverCenter in Covington, KY. This year’s conference, on Wednesday, December 7 through Friday, December 9, promises to be another great event for HR chapter and state council volunteers throughout Kentucky.
Best Places to Work in Kentucky is a survey competition to determine which participants are the best employers. The process is managed by Best Companies Group and winners are published in a special magazine and celebrated at an event.
