Best Places to Work

This year marked the 15th anniversary of the Best Places to Work program in Kentucky.  In 2004, the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management partnered together to bring this great program to our state.

For almost two years now, the Kentucky Supreme Court has permitted wage and hour class actions in Kentucky under the Kentucky Wages and Hours Act (the “KWHA”), which is codified at KRS 337 et seq.

In an opinion issued on April 26, the Kentucky Court of Appeals held that a Kentucky statute which permits non-lawyers to represent employers in unemployment compensation proceedings is unconstitutional.
