The use and misuse of opioid prescriptions is rising throughout the U.S.  A recent study showed two million Americans had a substance use disorder involving prescription pain relievers.  In addition, as many as 50,000 Americans may have died in 2016 as the result of an opioid-related overdose.

We’ve processed all the donations, sales, and credit card purchases, and  we have the final total of our fundraising efforts at the Book Nook during the Kentucky SHRM State Conference.

Developing the people on our teams can sometimes feel like a daunting exercise for leaders and for the HR professionals who support those leaders.

The war for talent is real and the competition for skilled people is fierce. Traditional recruiting methods take too long and cost too much. The “post and hope” strategy doesn’t work and recruiters must be proactive and engage with candidates long before an opening exists.
