KYSHRM Celebrates Best Places to Work

KYSHRM Council knows how to have fun at Best Places to Work

Since 2004, the KY Chamber of Commerce and the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management have partnered to present the Best Places to Work program in Kentucky.  The goal of the program is to identify and recognize organizations throughout the Commonwealth that have created successful workplaces with engaged and satisfied employees.

To become a “Best Place to Work”, organizations must register for the program and submit information through a two-part survey process. The first part of the survey process collects general organization information and the second part of the survey process collects feedback from organization employees.  The data is processed and then analyzed to produce a “Best” list.  All participating organizations have the opportunity to receive an in-depth data analysis report, referred to as the Employee Feedback Report, which identifies the strengths and weaknesses of their workplaces. The report consists of data gathered through the two-part survey process for each organization, as well as across all program participants. By reviewing their own confidential employee scores and comments, as well as program comparison reports, organizations can find areas to focus their efforts in order to build a better workplace.

In January of this year, participants were alerted whether or not they received a coveted spot on the Best Places to Work list.  However, participants did not know where they ranked on the list and had to patiently wait to find out during the 2018 Best Places to Work Awards Dinner on April 17.  The Best Places to Work Awards Dinner was held at the Lexington Convention Center and did not disappoint.  The evening was filled with laughter, networking and of course celebration!  This was the 14th year for the event and the list of companies continues to grow with 138 winners being announced.

Congratulations to all the Best Places to Work winners especially the winners taking the #1 spot in the large, medium and small company categories.

#1 Large: Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc

#1 Medium: Blue & Co., LLC

#1 Small: Peel & Holland
